رجعت لورينا بضع خطوات للوراء. اقترب منها مايكل بسرعة.
“ماذا يحدث هنا؟ لماذا فتحت المنطقة فجأة؟”.
كذبت سيينا بشكل عارض.
“السيدة الكونتيسة مينانجسي الشابة هنا قالت إنها تود إلقاء نظرة”.
“ماذا؟ أنت لا تحبين حقًا السماح للآخرين برؤيتها”.
عبس مايكل.
“السيدة الشابة بلا معنى أيضًا. هل تعتقدين أن هذه الطفلة قرد؟ تقديم مثل هذا الطلب الوقح؟”.
عندما استدار مايكل بتعبير مرعب على وجهه، كانت لورينا قد وضعت بالفعل تعبيرًا على وجهها الفارغ.
تعبير يرثى له، كما لو كانت مرتبكة لدرجة أنها لم تكن تعرف ماذا تفعل.
“يا إلهي، لم أقصد ذلك على الإطلاق… كنت فقط..”.
“لورينا!”.
بعد ذلك، اقتربت الكونتيسة مينانجسي من الجانب الآخر وصرخت.
