تحدث عن العيش في مدينة معلقة بجسور عائمة وعن إمبراطورية قوية سيطرت على الغابات المطيرة الشاسعة خارج أسوارها ، حيث كانت الوحوش تنحني لأمر الصوت وحده ، وساد الانسجام تحت توازن المانا والإرادة المقدسة.
عقد ليو حاجبيه وهو يتصفح الصفحات القليلة التالية ، حيث تغيرت نبرة الراوي ، وأفسحت الجمل الرسمية المجال لكتابة أكثر هلعًا.
كُتب عن زارنوك— حاكمهم— ليس كحاكم بالمعنى التقليدي بل كالقانون نفسه.
