عندما سلّم ليفين شطيرة إلى فيزدا، أخذتها بشكل طبيعي وذهبت للخارج.
مشى أحد الخادمات إلى الغرفة، وبعد أن رأت عبدي على السرير، حاولت جرها إلى الخارج. كانت فيزدا تمسك طرف السرير بكل قوتها، رافضة التزحزح.
“إلى أين انتِ تذهبين؟”
كانت ستثقب حفرة في اللوح من خلال التحديق فيها لفترة طويلة.
“العقوبة … من الصعب التنفس.”
“إنه ليس مكانًا للخادمة لمشاركة وجبة مع سيدها.”
