ملمس الأرض القاسي على وجهه كان اول شيء في باله …. جعله يدرك انه قد اصطدم بالأرض، حاول الحركة ولكنه لم يستطيع ولم يستطع الشعور بأصابعه. ولكنه كان يشعر بحرارة وكانت تغمر جسده كاملا.

سعل وتقيأ الدم الذي كان يتصاعد في حلقه، – حياته بدأت تتلاشى – لقد سعل بما يكفي حتى غطى اطراف فمه و حتى برؤيته الضبابية رأى بوضوح الأرض اسفل منه يزداد لونها احمرارا شيئا فشيئا .

بعد صرخة بسيطة تبعها صوت ارتطام بالأرض وجدها بجانبه غارقة في بحيرة من دماءها حاول الوصول الى يدها البيضاء و لكنها سقطت هامدة …….. تمسك بيدها بأخر ما تبقى من قواه حتى تلونت يدها البيضاء بدماء قبضته حينها فقط  شعر بأصابعها تتحرك ببطأ متقبلة قبضته .

– هل تمزح معي… كل هذا يخصني؟

 

شعر أن كل الدم في جسده قد أريق منه …. في منتصف هذا الشعور مد أصابعه باحثا عن مصدر الحرارة الذي جعله يشعر وكأنه يحترق….وفي لحظة وصول اطراف أصابعه الى الجرح العميق في معدته فهم كل شيء….. لا عجب انه كان يشعر بالحرارة فأن دماغه اخطأ الألم بالحرارة حيث كان هناك جرح عميق بما يكفي ليقسمه الى نصفين حيث ما كان يبقيه متماسك هو القليل من الجلد … بعبارة أخرى لقد سقط ملكه في لعبة شطرنج الحياه. و عند ادراكه لذلك بدأ وعيه يتلاشى منه شيئا فشيئا.

 

في اخر لحظاته رأى حذاء اسود يتساقط منه قطرات لامعه من الدم مكونه بقعه كبيرة ، و قد فكر انه ربما صاحب الحذاء هو من قتله، و لكنه لم يفكر ان ينظر في وجهه… قائلا (لا يهم ).

لقد سمع هذا الصوت … الصوت الذي كان اهم ما لديه فتلك اللحظة… الصوت الذي كان كصوت ألف جرس …. الصوت الذي جعله يشعر بالخلاص.

كان يتمنى ان تكون هي بأمان.
