رنين المنبه يقطع سكون الصباح، أفتح عيني ببطء وأجلس على حافة السرير. اليوم هو أول يوم لي في المدرسة الجديدة، اياكا تاتسومي 16 سنة. نهضت وبدأت أرتدي ملابسي المدرسية دون تفكير كثير، كأنني معتادة على هذا الروتين اليومي. نظرت إلى نفسي في المرآة للحظة، ثم سحبت حقيبتي وخرجت من الغرفة.

عندما دخلت إلى الفصل، رأيت المعلمة تقف أمام السبورة، تجهز للدرس. الفصل كان ممتلئًا بالطلاب، كل واحد يجلس في مكانه ويستعد للحصة. قالت المعلمة بابتسامة”مرحبًا،” ، “لدينا طالبة جديدة اليوم. هل يمكنكِ تقديم نفسكِ؟”

الحصة بدأت، وكان الجو في الفصل مليئًا بالنشاط والتركيز. الطلاب كانوا يتبادلون الأحاديث بهمسات خافتة، لكن سرعان ما انشغل الجميع بالدرس. جلست في مكاني أراقب، محاولًة التعرف على الوجوه والأصوات من حولي.

دخلت المدرسة واتجهت نحو الفصل. الممرات كانت نظيفة ومرتبة، والجدران مغطاة بملصقات تعليمية وأخرى تشجع على التميز. كل شيء كان مرتبًا ومنظمًا بشكل يبعث على الراحة.
