“سكايشارد؟” تمتم الشيخ الثاني بارتباك ، حيث كان صوته يرتجف بينما غلفت الحيرة ملامحه.
حتى وهم يعملون معاً ، كانوا يعلمون في قلوبهم أنهم لا يستطيعون الإطاحة به.
لم يستطع فهم سبب اقتحام ليو للغرفة بدون سابق إنذار أو لماذا تحمل عيناه مثل هذه النية القاتلة ولكن كلما أطال النظر ، تلاشى ذلك الارتباك وتحول إلى خوف ، لأن النظرة التي منحهم إياها ليو الآن لم تكن نظرة رجل عاقل بل نظرة وحش مفترس مستعد للصيد.
حتى وهم يعملون معاً ، كانوا يعلمون في قلوبهم أنهم لا يستطيعون الإطاحة به.
‘بحق اللورد سورون… يبدو وكأنه على وشك أن يقتلنا جميعًا’ فكر الشيخ الثاني وهو يلتفت بعصبية نحو الشيخ الثالث ، الذي نظر إليه بشفقة ، كما لو كان مستعداً للبكاء في هذه اللحظة بالذات.
اختتم كلماته بينما ابتلع الشيوخ الثلاثة أمامه لعابهم بعصبية ، حيث كانت وجوههم تظهر مدى صدمتهم من التحدث إليهم بهذه الطريقة من قبل شاب صغير جداً.

خطا خطوة للأمام وكل خطوة يتردد صوتها على الأرضية الرخامية ، حيث قطع حذاؤه التوتر كالنصال التي تقطع اللحم ، بينما أشار بإصبعه نحو الشيخ الأول ، قبل أن يوجهه نحو الشيخ الثاني ، وأخيراً الشيخ الثالث.
