منهكًا ولا يرغب في صدام معها الآن، لكنه رفض أن يُستجوب.

من جانب آخر، تداولت الاحتمالات في ذهنه، الوضع ليس ميؤوسًا منه بعد، ولا يزال بالإمكان إنقاذه.
“لم أُعر الأمر اهتمامًا حينها، فالهوة كانت ستظل نشطة لعقد آخر، لكن قبل لحظات، أصبحت الهوة فوضوية تماماً وبدأت تظهر علامات ثوران… وأنت يا سيدي في التوقيت نفسه، لذا أسأل: ماذا فعلتَ؟”

هنا، أصيب بالحيرة، لم يفهم ما تتحدث عنه، رغم معرفته بـ هوة الأرواح، إلا أنه لا يعلم ما علاقة ملكة الأشباح بها.

أضاف في تفكيره: ‘إن كان ما قالته صحيحاً، فلا بد أن للبرج الطاغوتي علاقة ما بهوة الأرواح، رغم أن “عديم الروح” خدع سلف الأشباح، إلا أن البرج كانت ملكه لزمن طويل، حتى لو لم يستطع استخدام قوته كاملة، فقد هيمن على مجال الأشباح وأسس العرق الشبح كأحد الأقطاب الرئيسية في فصيل الموتى، ربما استخدم حيلاً إضافية أو عقد صفقات مع “عديم الروح” لتعزيز سلطته، لكن حتى السلف لم يدرك أن “عديم الروح” كان يخطط للهروب منذ البداية، وأنا لم أُساعده فحسب، بل استوليت عليه، يبدو الآن أن للبرج دوراً مباشراً في اضطرابات هوة الأرواح، التي تُعتبر مصدر قوة العرق الشبح، للأسف، ذاكرتي ناقصة، ويشمل ذلك علاقة ملكة الأشباح بالهوة…’
